So I had to present about American Government. While I have taken an AP course on American History, the fact that I am trying to teach people whose first language isn’t English makes this a nearly insurmountable challenge. I now know that for a topic this complicated and foreign, I need to accomodate for the Chinese students and maybe even consider doing my presentation in Chinese.

Speaking in front of people has always been my greatest weakness. So when I presented how STEM is taught in America, I truly struggled with every aspect of my presentation. That includes my tone, facial expressions, body gestures, eye contact, fluency, talking speed, etc. However, looking on the positive side, I can only do better from here on out, no matter how small the improvement is.

The most memorable moment for me was the visit to Jingting Mountain. The triumph of reaching the top coupled with the breathtaking scenery and views of the city made this moment stand out above all others. Also, the panic attack I had when I realized that everyone had already descended from the mountain was...memorable, to say the least. Although in my humble opinion, making it to the top was well worth the prolonged journey at Jingting Mountain.
