Jennifer Li HW (Touring Day 2)

    in Touring in Shanghai

In the morning, we went to visit a lake and had to walk a lot. At this lake, there were many willow trees that signified beauty and a lot of lotuses. At this place, we saw a bridge. According to the tour guide, this was the broken bridge that represented the broken heart of the white snake in a Chinese fable.

Today, we visited a beautiful lake in Hangzhou, as well as the bustling marketplace. My favourite part was the lake because of its scenery, but the lake also gave off a peaceful mood that let me start off my day on a good note. After lunch, we went to the marketplace. This was a really exciting and unique experience because of the sheer number of shops trying to sell you a variety of things, and we could really get to know some Chinese culture while walking through the busy streets. Overall, it was a really fun day and I learned a lot.
