This camp has already exceded my expectations, but not in the right way. This camp has great potential, but with some realignment some fixes, this camp could be magnificant. As for today, I will be starting pff will this issue,
The Mindset and The Priority
During the camp the overall foundation of the three rounds were based on competition by beating or being better than the other teams. I have often seen hostility between teams. The motives for many teams including ours were to be the best out of the rest. Considering that this event is supposed to be focused toward a convention, not a competition, our main focus should be the experience or using other teams as a guiding point for yours. Once we have this as the priorities, we should use the competition as a motivation or the reason they should keep working. To sum up instead of focusing and basing the camp on a competition we should set learning and more focus on leadership demonstrations. But dont get me wrong, competition is not a bad thing, for me, it gave the pressure and goal, and I enjoyed it, but for this type of camp, like I said before, there should be more emphazise on the experience of growing leaders.
This is my day one analysis on the camp, I will be bring more issues and topics as time goes on.
