Today we went to three different places. We made dumplings, went to a plywood factory and saw the manufacturing process, and we went to a mountain and learned about the Taxus Chinensis/ Chinese Yew , a special type of tree that can prevent cancer and get rid of mosquitoes.
I really liked making dumplings because it brought back childhood experiences.

I am interested in the plywood process and wait for you to tell me the deail after you come back. I heard 红豆衫 before, but from your post, I learn it’s English name and feel you are so luck to see the real tree. I can not wait to make dumpling with you. Glad to see you have a fun trip.
That is a very busy first day of August, Jennifer! Special food, special industry, special herbal medicine. As you predicted, the dumpling will continue to be one of our favorite foods; the plywood might be a past industry in a few decades, but the tree you described will be a novel therapy for cancer and mosquito repellent.
